Christmas Picture
I have been trying to capture the perfect Christmas picture. Now I know that I have a very cute subject to work with but this seemingly easy task has become rather difficult. First of all, I have to dress him in holiday appropriate clothing. Easy enough, right? No...as soon as he is dressed, he spits up on his clothing. Thus the spit up spots on his collar, sleeve, vest, pants, etc. After getting over the fact that he will more than likely have a wet spot somewhere on his clothing I am left with the next big obstacle. Mason won't smile for the camera. He smiles for me all day long! I get the sweetest gummy grins when I least expect them. However, put a camera in front of him and he stares at it like it is about to attack him. I put the camera down, get him to smile, pick the camera back up and I see his fearful stare. We do have a few pictures to choose from, I am just trying to capture that sweet look that I see so many times a day. The smile that only makes you smile in return. Wish me luck, tomorrow I will start again!

Mason's Day...
Mason's Baptism
October 26, 2008
What a special day...
Mason shared his baptismal birthday with his uncle/godfather.
He wore the gown that his great grandmother made for his grandfather. The gown has been worn by his grandfather, father and now Mason.
He was baptized in the same church as his mother and uncle.
Mason was baptized by the same pastor who confirmed and married his parents.
Lots of friends and family came to share the special day with Mason and will help him grow in his own faith.

Having a GRAND Time
Mason is such a lucky little boy...not only is he the first grandchild on both sides but both sets of grandparents live only two hours away. He is already the light of their lives. They have all managed to come and spend some snuggle time with him every week since he arrived five weeks ago. This week will be no exception. We know that with grandparents come a little extra attention and probably a little spoiling. Mason more than likely will twist an arm to two in order to hear one more book at bedtime... only to manage to extend that bedtime beyond what is normal. He will eat breakfast cereal that he doesn't eat at home. I am sure that Mason will convince all grandparents to buy him something that we told him he didn't need. But what Mason doesn't know, that he will soon come to learn, is that he couldn't be any luckier. He has four of the best grandparents a little boy could ask for. Mason will learn wonderful life lessons. He will learn what it means to be a good person by the example they not only have set for us, but also the example they will teach him.
